  • LOCATION – Market Drayton is a North Shropshire market town, on the Shropshire/Staffordshire/Cheshire border.  It is between Shrewsbury and Stoke-on-Trent.  It still holds a weekly street market on a Wednesday.  The Shropshire Union Canal runs through the town, and Market Drayton has a wide range of amenities, such as specialist and high street shops, and health and leisure facilities.
  • This area provides excellent Senior/Junior/Primary schooling –  Market Drayton town center and supermarkets all within a short walk.
  • Small pets may be considered, sorry no smokers or shares, and some photographs are of a previous tenants possessions.

Situated on a quiet, mature estate, with beautifully kept areas and manicured front gardens.   Conveniently situated, in a lovely, quiet location,  this 3-bedroom, semi-detached house is only 5 minutes walk from Asda, the town centre, a short drive to the Doctors’ Surgery and Morrisons, and is also only a few minutes from the main A53 road linking Market Drayton with most destinations.

This lovely, semi detached house with gravelled garden/car parking at the front, and garden/garage/lawn and barbecue area at rear.  With 3 bedrooms this property lends itself to a family with children, as it is within walking distance of the Grove School and a junior school.   With a large lounge, being the whole length of the downstairs, and patio doors to the garden/barbecue area from the lounge area,  this house gives plenty of opportunity for a happy family life, living at your desired pace of life.

Alternatively a working family will find this property appealing,  as the M6, Telford, Shrewsbury, Stoke on Trent, Whitchurch, Crewe and Stafford are all within a daily commute of 30 – 40 mins drive.  Train stations at the above towns are all easily accessible within a 40 minute drive.

A retired family would also enjoy this house, as it is on a nicely proportioned, 1950’s estate, in a good neighbourhood, and with nice neighbours.  There are many places for pub lunches, canal or woodland walks, and on a bus route to Shrewsbury or Hanley/Stoke-on-Trent, there are endless opportunities for both young and old to explore the great areas close by.

Muller and Northern Foods are 2 of the largest employers in the town, which is growing at a pace and meeting the needs of young people who are career minded with young families.

Description of the house

  • The house was totally refurbished in the last 4 years to a high standard.
  • The front door opens into the downstairs, laminated hall, which leads to the lounge/diner, downstairs cloak room and carpeted stairs.
  • Downstairs cloakroom is tiled, with white toilet and sink.
  • The kitchen has a full set of white cupboards, together with a stainless steel sink, overlooking the back garden.  There is plumbing for a washing machine, and there is 18 month old cooker.  The back door opens into the kitchen, and from the kitchen you access the living/dining room. The floor is tiled.
  • The large lounge/diner (full length of the house) has a picture window to the front, overlooking the gravelled car parking area and mature trees that afford some privacy from the road side.  At the other end of the lounge, there are the patio doors opening onto the patio area.  The lounge/diner has an ornamental, electric log-burner type fire for effect, laminate floors, and gives plenty of space for table, chairs, sofas etc.
  • 2 Full-sized double bedrooms, one overlooking the front, the other the back garden, both big enough for a double bed, or two sets of bunks, or 2 single beds. There is room for bedroom furniture. Carpeted.
  • 1 Single, good-sized bedroom, overlooking the back lawn.  A single bed can fit along 3 walls, so it is a good sized 3rd bedroom. This room can be used just for a double bed, or it has been used as a “day room” in the past with sewing table and day bed.  Other uses have been a home office, and an artist’s studio. There is room for bedroom furniture.  Carpeted.
  • All bedrooms are accessed off the carpeted landing which has an extra storage cupboard.
  • The upstairs bathroom has a modern, white bathroom suite, with over the bath electric shower, and heated towel rail with a soft, wood effect, waterproof flooring.
  • Outside, the property has at the front, a gravelled area which will park 3 cars, plus the driveway itself can be used for parking.  A mature, treed/shrubbery at the front also offers some seclusion and privacy from the roadway.
  • On approaching the house, the back door is next to the outside storage area, often used for mops etc.
  • The single garage has an up and over door, and electric, and also has a side door for easier access.  Some kitchen appliances may be put in here, ie a tumble dryer.
  • This leads to the back garden, with cream, rivened  indian stone patio and grass area.  This in turn leads to the wooden pagola area, over a gravelled area, and often used as the focus for the barbecue!  A mature hedge houses bird and wildlife and provides added seclusion for when you are in the back garden with friends and family.   The patio doors from the lounge/diner are an alternative entrance to the garden.
